Danielle Colby’s hidden ink exposed — fans shocked by her boldest tattoo choices
The TV star’s tattoos feature a vintage style that fits in perfectly with her status as shop manager for Antique Archaeology
AMERICAN Pickers star Danielle Colby has frequently flaunted her tattooed body on social media and while performing in burlesque shows.
From the daggered heart featured prominently on her arm to the large F-hole designs on her butt, Danielle, 47, has covered much of her statuesque figure with ink.
Befitting the vintage Americana theme of American Pickers, the majority of the History Channel star’s tattoos are done in a traditional art style.
Traditional-style tattoos feature “bold black outlines” and “solid pigments” according to Tattoodo.
With a style harkening back to Bettie Page, Josephine Baker, and pin-up models of the 1940s and ’50s, here are all of the tattoos Danielle has acquired over the years.
ARMS
Danielle’s upper right arm and shoulder are covered with a portrait of Mexican painter Frida Kahlo.
Frida, who came to prominence in the 1930s and ’40s, was best known for her numerous portraits, self-portraits, and works inspired by the nature and artifacts in her homeland of Mexico.
Her left arm features an image of Frida’s father, German-Mexican photographer Guillermo Kahlo.
Its placement mirrors that of the tattoo of The Two Fridas painter.
Guillermo is shown holding an antique camera and sporting slicked-back hair and a handlebar mustache.
Though completed in black-and-white, brightly colored flowers were tattooed around the photographer.
The rest of Danielle’s arms feature motifs prominent within the traditional style of tattooing.
A stylized, daggered heart with flames can be spotted in the center of her left forearm beneath a similarly-sized tattoo of a female sailor.
A tattoo of an octopus has also been placed on the inside of the reality TV star’s bicep.
Danielle’s right arm features a compass tattoo, a picture of an owl, and an image of a Native American woman in profile.
The name “Anna” is written in cursive beneath the woman’s long, black braids.
HANDS
The Queen of Rust has an old-timey camera tattooed on the top of her left hand with her last name, “Colby,” written beside it.
A tattoo of a realistic heart covers the top of her left hand.
A banner featuring the word “MOM,” stretches across it.
Written across Danielle’s knuckles is the phrase “HOLD FAST.”
“HOLD” has been tattooed on her right while “FAST” is displayed on her right.
CHEST AND STOMACH
Danielle’s chest and collarbone have been tattooed with a tantalizing leopard print design.
The spots trail into a pink and green flower that is placed right above her breasts.
Her stomach is covered with an intricate tattoo that doesn’t feature the traditional style but instead uses a more geometric design.
“IMMORTAL” is written in bold lettering along her hip while a lotus or mandala-like shape surrounds her belly button.
BACK AND BUTT
The TV personality’s upper back has been tattooed while the majority of her back has been left blank.
The tattoo is comprised of vines, flowers, and more stylized text.
The center of her lower back features a butterfly-like shape while flanking each side of the winged insect are two large F-hole designs, resembling the holes in a cello or violin.
The large black curved shapes start around the middle of Danielle’s back and extend to, and over, the upper portion of her butt.
ADVOCATING FOR ALL
Fans regularly catch a peek at Danielle’s tattooed body when she posts risque photos to Instagram promoting her OnlyFans account.
In 2022, Danielle shared a post about International Women’s Day celebrating “strippers and sex workers.”
The television star reposted a series of slides celebrating women in entertainment of all kinds, including strippers and sex workers.
She added a caption of her own:
“Happy International Women’s Day!” she wrote in the caption.
“Never forget that supporting women means sex workers, adult entertainers, strippers, dancers, and all the working women at EVERY intersection, not just white, cis-gendered heteronormative womanhood.
“If you’re a feminist, you have to support women in all fields of work. Showgirls are part of feminist history!
“Feminism must not only include, but also work to amplify the voices of showgirls, exotic dancers, nightclub performers, strippers, and sex workers.
“Their work is as valid as that of any other woman; and their historical struggle to own their bodies, turn them into art and express their sexuality freely set a precedent in herstory.
