Unusual Headache Sends Mama June to the Hospital – What’s Really Happening Behind Closed Doors?
Here Comes Honey Boo Boo star Mama June has been hospitalized following a routine check-up with her doctor. June Shannon (aka Mama June), who first came to fame when her daughter appeared in Toddlers & Tiaras. From there, her family got their own show for their unique personalities called Here Comes Honey Boo Boo. Most recently, though, Mama June had a show of her very own called Mama June: From Not To Hot, in which she underwent weight loss surgery, had skin removal surgery and ultimately lost 300 pounds. The weight loss was a tough journey for fans to see Mama June go through but also very empowering as she never gave up.
Mama June has four children but lost custody of Honey Boo Boo (whose real name is Alana Thompson) to her daughter Lauryn Efird and recently remarried. Mama June married her boyfriend of six months, Justin Stroud, in March 2022. Her daughters, however, were caught off guard when news of the marriage broke headlines because they had no idea that their mother had chosen to get married. Honey Boo Boo even said afterwards that her mom always told them she wouldn’t get married. The secret wedding came just a week after Justin was released from prison, on their six-month anniversary, making Mama June’s recent life choices somewhat questionable, according to some fans.
TMZ reported that after a routine check-up with her doctor recently, Mama June has been hospitalized. She told her doctor that she had been having severe headaches and bouts of dizziness, which in itself was concerning enough for her doctor to have her admitted into the hospital right away. The star has undergone countless tests and scans but has yet to hear a definitive diagnosis.
Fans are hoping that Mama June soon gets the answers that she so desperately deserves and that the doctors will be able to help ease her pain. Whether it be a complication from one of the surgeries she’s had, or simply a common illness such as the cold, fans know that she is in good hands. With her new husband by her side, Mama June does not yet know what is wrong but is keeping a positive mindset. Specialists are likely working around the clock to figure it out. Hopefully, one of the Here Comes Honey Boo Boo star’s tests will soon shed light on what has been causing her to feel so ill.
