The search led to more charges against the couple. A police source said that these charges are not related to the felony charges in Florida.

Arkansas officials charged Joseph and his wife with more crimes just before 5 p.m. on March 20. This happened after an investigation into the reality star by an outside party. They were charged with four counts each of second-degree false imprisonment and second-degree endangering the welfare of a minor. They arrested her because the locks on the doors were on the outside of the children’s rooms. Both could get 8 years each for those charges.

Jason ‘Jase’ Duggar Speaks Out

Jason Duggar is number 13 of 19 Duggar kids and the 7th son. He goes by Jase for short now on his social media; his family also refers to him as Jase. He and his wife, Maddie Grace Duggar, have made a scathing statement on what his brother Joseph has done. He said:

“We, like many, have spent the week completely shocked, confused, and grieved to list a few emotions. We are disgusted to hear the news about my brother; however, this isn’t about how it’s impacted our lives.”

His wife, Maddie Grace, was tagged in his statement, and it continued with, “Our hearts are burdened because a child’s life has been turned upside down due to the evil actions of someone who should have never hurt the vulnerable. This is something unthinkable.”

Duggar Prays God’s Righteous Hand Will Serve Justice

“We are angered by what has happened, and we pray God’s righteous hand and the court system will serve justice in the situation as deserved.

Maddie and I have always had a special place in our hearts for the vulnerable around us, and we will continue to do so. To fathom that someone would abuse their authority to harass the innocent is vile.

We ask that you pray for the victim who has been brave enough to share what has happened. We also ask that you pray for his family at this time, as his children must face the reality of losing a father that should have been a spiritual leader in their lives.

The statement ended strongly with 5 words: “We stand with innocent children. Always.” Jase and Maddie’s comments were turned off due to harassing remarks about the rest of their family.

Joseph Duggar’s Court Date

Joseph Duggar will also go to court in Arkansas on April 29 at 2 p.m. in Elm Springs District Court. He is waiting to be sent back to Florida, where he could spend 25 years to life in prison if he is found guilty.
