Anna Cardwell Passes Away, Custody Fight Begins

Anna ‘Chickadee’ Cardwell sadly passed away when she was only 29 years old. However, this was hard on her entire family. Anna was battling cancer. However, she sadly lost the fight. June, her sisters, and her kids were devastated that this happened. However, once she passed away, a custody battle started with June and Anna’s ex-husband. In the end, June ended up gaining custody of Kaitlyn since Michael was not her biological father. However, Michael got custody of Kaylee since she was his biological daughter. The fight was nasty and did not end well. There was a lot of drama involved in this. Sadly, this affected both Kaitlyn and Kaylee.

Mama June Shannon has revealed that Kaitlyn does not get to see Kaylee much, if at all.

“Unfortunately not, and it’s not because of us. [Anna’s eventual death] was a big conversation [for her], even outside of cameras. That was a constant thing that she would just say, ‘Y’all got to get used to it. Michael’s going to take Kaylee and y’all are never going to see Kaylee again.’ We knew that, so we were kind of prepared for that. There’s just nothing we can do about it,”

This is sad for everyone to hear. Kaitlyn not only lost her mom, but now she does not get to see her little sister.
