Episode 35 Summary – Big Brother 27 – Alliances Shattered: Secrets Exposed, and the Flames of Betrayal Ignite the Big Brother House!

The Big Brother 27 Mastermind’s Month of Mayhem continued in tonight’s episode as the Final 5 learned that there’d be a special eviction before they even see Julie again. He also threw in an endurance HOH competition in the Mastermind’s lair and a nomination ceremony equipped with voodoo dolls.

The episode picks up right after last week’s double eviction, with a flashback to what went down during the commercial break. Morgan’s clear target is Lauren, but Vince is still not on that page. Lucky for Morgan, Lauren did not win the veto. Vince made a last-ditch effort to save her in the little time he had, but as we all know, that did not work out. Morgan succeeded in evicting Lauren and now has Vince to herself

But she is not the only one with that plan. Keanu is hopeful that he now has Vince all to himself. Unfortunately for him, Vince lets us know that Keanu is no longer good for his game and has officially become his top target. Meanwhile, Ava and Ashley are quietly hoping Keanu can hold on long enough to take out either Morgan or Vince. Ashley even admits that she cannot beat Morgan in the end, so she forms the “Will’s Daughters” Final 2 deal with Ava.

Of course, all this whispering and strategizing means nothing until after the next Head of Household competition. But first, a warning from the Mastermind. Before Julie can send anyone packing, the Mastermind announces a twist: there will be an HOH competition, a veto competition, and an eviction before the next live episode, and the players will not know exactly when the eviction will take place

Then it is time for the Head of Household competition, an endurance battle with a bizarre setup. The four competing houseguests must stand on a platform while holding a Mastermind mask balanced on a sword. The last person standing with their mask in place becomes the new HOH.

The first person to drop is Ava at 11 minutes and 44 seconds. Ashley follows at 29 minutes and 35 seconds, leaving Vince and Keanu to fight it out. Keanu tries to strike a deal, urging Vince to let him win so he can target Morgan, sparing Vince from getting that blood on his hands. But Vince is not interested, since Keanu is his true target this week. The competition drags on until Keanu finally drops at the 58:53 mark, making Vince the new Head of Household

Ava immediately sees the writing on the wall, so she approaches Vince with one last pitch. She argues that Morgan, not Keanu, is the real threat left in the game. Keanu doubles down on his campaign too, telling Vince that taking out Morgan would guarantee his victory and prove that Morgan was not controlling his every move. Vince does not bite. Instead, he grows annoyed at everyone pressuring him to make the obvious move. He convinces himself he still has a fighting chance at beating Morgan in the end, even though no one else seems to believe that.

At the special Mastermind nomination ceremony, Vince has to place two voodoo dolls representing his choices on the Mastermind’s altar. Unsurprisingly, he goes with Keanu and Ava.
