Big Brother 27 Episode 36 Recap: Mastermind Claims Another Victim

Big Brother 27’s Month of Mayhem continues, and tonight proved nothing is off the table. With voodoo dolls, veto chaos, and family videos that raised more questions than comfort, it played out like a soap opera spliced with a bad horror movie.

The episode picks up after the nomination ceremony. Vince put Keanu and Ava on the block, with Keanu as his clear target. Vince explains that he cannot let Keanu win his way to the end and that his perfect Final 3 does not include him.

Ava reminds us of the Mastermind’s warning that a “unique” eviction is coming before the next live episode. No one knows what that means or when it will happen, but they do know there is a veto competition first.

Keanu is furious with Vince because he still thought Vince had been on his side, which was never the case. Keanu says his only path forward is to win out until the end. Vince already knows that and is not interested in giving him the chance.

Meanwhile, Ashley and Ava are looking past Keanu and worrying about Morgan. Ashley wants to win the veto and use it on Ava so they can send Morgan home. Morgan insists she wants the Judges alliance in the Final 3, but Ashley is realistic. She knows Morgan will win if she makes it to the end.

The Mastermind then appears with a late-night twist: the veto competition is happening right now. It is Tiny Veto, where players must use tweezers to stack a puzzle. Morgan wins the Power of Veto yet again. Keanu knows he is toast unless this “unique” eviction twist somehow gives him a lifeline. At least he finally admits he should have listened to Rachel and never trusted Vince.

Then Vince calls everyone to the living room with a card in hand. The house braces for a Mastermind twist, but instead it is family videos. Vince gets a message from his parents but not from his girlfriend. This comes right after an edit showing Vince and Morgan whispering in code about whether there could be a romance after the game. Vince notices Kelsey’s silence and wonders if he is now single. Spoiler alert: yes, Vince, you probably are

Back in the Mastermind’s lair, the veto ceremony begins. Morgan chooses not to use the Power of Veto, leaving Keanu and Ava on the block. The Mastermind then announces that the final nominees have one hour to campaign before the “unique” eviction takes place.

Keanu makes one last desperate pitch to Vince, arguing that keeping him would show the jury that Vince is not just playing Morgan’s game. He claims he can secure Ashley’s vote, leaving Vince to evict Ava and prove his independence. But the question remains: is that enough, or are Vince and Morgan too far gone?

At the eviction, the houseguests must cast their votes in the open by stabbing a voodoo doll of their choice. Morgan stabs Keanu’s doll. Ashley follows suit. By a 2-0 vote, Keanu is evicted.

Before the episode ends, the next Head of Household competition kicks off. But the outcome will have to wait until Thursday night’s episode.
