Some Mama June: Family Crisis fans on social media have responded to Josh Efird’s girlfriend, Breanna Godwin, after she interacted with a fan asking about Josh’s future on the show. Breanna says Josh will likely need $1 million from WeTV to ever come back to the show, and that pretty much confirms he’s done filming. The strain of it all has been too much. Many fans agree with Josh’s decision to stop filming. Some felt awful about what he went through on the show. Josh did a heated live after the finale, revealing how stressed he was. Josh does not do social media much, so for him to even do the live stream was very telling.

Did Josh really sleep with Shyann, or is it all for ratings?

The Mama June finale revealed that Josh allegedly slept with Jessica’s (then fiancée) Shyann so they could have a baby because last season Jessica had asked Josh and Pumpkin if they would consider donating his sperm to help them get pregnant. Pumpkin said adamantly no.  Jessica allegedly went against her wishes and got Josh’s sperm anyway. It was revealed that she was there watching the deed with her wife and ex-brother-in-law. The dirty secret is out, and hell breaks loose. During one of Mama June’s seasons, it was revealed that Shyann is raising her niece, Harper, because she cannot have children, so Josh allegedly sleeping with Shyann is either a lie for ratings or he did it for his ‘Get Back,’ as he said in his live for Pumpkin, cheating with his cousin Darrin. June Shannon told a fan that Shyann cannot have children of her own.

The fan asked, “I’m curious… Last night on June’s live, someone commented, saying Shyann can’t have kids. That’s why she took in her niece, Harper, because she can’t have kids and Harper’s mama couldn’t parent or whatever. So, can she have kids or not? Was this all for the show? I’m kind of confused. The only reason it’s confusing is because no one has ever mentioned Harper being her niece. It just makes you really wonder how much is scripted/fake.”

June replied: “this is true Harper is her niece but she had raidd her and she can’t have kids to our understanding now with what she has going on medial with her”

 Josh Accused of Drug Abuse On Social Media Before Big Finale

June used social media to criticize her ex-son-in-law, Josh Efird, for his purported drug usage in the past, which June says was never discussed in public because the father of five was “being protected.”

She continued by accusing Josh of engaging in the “same s**t” (drugs) that she had been doing seven years prior. She even hinted that Geno Doak, her former insane partner, had told her about Josh’s purported drug use, but she had remained silent. Josh has definitely been through the wringer with Mama June, and, understandably, he would be done with her and the show.

June Shannon and her daughters are masters at hyping the drama. Pumpkin has raised eyebrows with her choice of making money these days. Pole dancing, erotica, and more in the adult industry. Since his cousin Darrin came into Pumpkin’s life, June has trashed Josh even harder. The question now is, was it all for drama?

June claimed Josh had threatened her life, her grandkids’ lives, and her daughter’s life, and then removed the post. June said Josh allegedly encouraged Breanna Godwin to come to her house to harm her while on a live call with Alana. He also threatened to shoot up my house if Katy P wasn’t there. Breanna tried to force her way in, but left after Justin told her to go. I’m sharing this publicly to inform others, not for attention.

Mama June said threats were made not only against her but also against Justin and her granddaughter Katy P. She blasted Josh for pretending to be morally superior despite his actions and lack of consequences. June continues to mention digital evidence of threats and argues that just because someone hasn’t been jailed doesn’t make them innocent.

June claimed she never threatened anyone or went to anyone’s home. She said she was speaking her truth. She claimed she avoids confrontation. June said there have been disrespectful incidents in public and threats against her family. She then ended the rant with, If anything happens to them, Joshua Brandon Efird, his associates, and Breanna Godwin are responsible. Despite everything she said, she wished him the life he deserves

Josh went live on TikTok, very upset, and said he got his ‘Get Back’ and he is done. The truth of the matter here is that Shyann cannot have kids; she stated that on the show this last season. So whatever she and Josh allegedly did was a ‘get back’ at Pumpkin for cheating with Josh’s cousin. It seems this whole family is just master trollers for that paycheck. All of the hype around the finale was like rapid-fire, non-stop. WeTV will most definitely renew, but Josh Efird’s girlfriend said he is done with the show. The only way to get him back is to pay him 1 million dollars, which will never happen.

As fans are aware, after six years of marriage and four children together, June’s daughter, Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon and Josh separated in August 2024; their divorce was formalized the following month. Following their breakup, Pumpkin and Josh promptly entered into new relationships, with Josh dating Keely and Pumpkin dating Darrin Kitchens, Josh’s cousin. Following his breakup with Keely, Josh started dating Breanna Godwin, who later gave birth to his fifth child in May 2025. The whole family has embraced Breanna and does several functions with her and her children as a family.

June Shannon, Josh, Pumpkin, Alana, and Justin all went on social media with lives right after the finale. They needed to generate more hype for the show to encourage WeTV to renew their contracts.
